Nagar Nigam To Organize Diwali Fair In Gandhi Park

 

 Saharanpur/UP.  " The Municipal Corporation will organize a Diwali fair for about a week in Gandhi Park. Swings and attractive stalls will be set up in the fair for the entertainment of the children.  During this three days various cultural programs will also be organized in Jan Manch.  The fair will begin on October 28. The objective of the fair is to increase the income of street vendors taking loans under Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana by setting up more and more stalls." Municipal Commissioner Gyanendra Singh said.

He informed, "The great festival of Indian culture, Deepawali, will be celebrated on November 4.  A week before that, from October 28, a grand and attractive Diwali fair will be organized by the Municipal Corporation at Gandhi Park for about a week.  While various essential commodities and food stalls will be set up in the fair, for the attraction of the children, stalls of sports toys and swings etc. will also be installed for entertainment."      

  "The purpose of organizing this Diwali fair to be organized on the instructions of the government is to provide a platform to increase their income by setting up more and more stalls of street vendors and vendors taking loans under the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana.Three days cultural programs including magic show, street plays, puppetry, local folk singing will also be organized in the fair.  Efforts will also be made to perform stage art along with traditional art as well as modern technology based laser show.  Apart from this, Swachhata Selfie and Selfie with Great Leaders and various types of poster and slogan competition will also be organized." Said Gyanendra Singh.

  He said that cleanliness would be taken care of at the fair site and the Jan Manch and it would be completely  sanitized every day and COVID rules would be followed.He said that apart from setting up a special registration desk for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana in the fair, a stall would also be set up to give information regarding digital transactions in collaboration with banks.  ODOP  And MSME stall will also be set up with the help of the concerned departments.  People will also be made aware of the achievements of the state government for four and a half years by installing an LED.
