Media persons should be vaccinated on priority - District Magistrate
Saharanpur/Up: District Magistrate Akhilesh Singh said that Covid vaccination should be applied on priority basis to government personnel and media persons. He said that the pace of vaccination should be accelerated in the district and it should be disseminated more and more in rural areas. All arrangements at the vaccination center should be ensured in advance so that the beneficiaries do not have to face any kind of problem. It should be ensured that no person is allowed to return without vaccination.
DM Akhilesh Singh was addressing the Special District Task Force while reviewing the Covid Vaccination Program at the Collectorate Auditorium today. He directed the Chief Medical Officer that sessions should be conducted in rural areas in such a way that the residents of the rural area have to travel a minimum distance.
He said that the vaccination site for vaccination should be identified and disseminated so that maximum number of beneficiaries can reach vaccination site and get the vaccine in time. He said that 100 percent beneficiaries should be vaccinated by organizing special sessions for people working in district court and government offices.
He said that media persons should also be made aware about the place of vaccination in advance. He said that in coordination with the Information Department, the District Immunization Officer should finalize the date of vaccination and give information about it to everyone through newspapers.
At the meeting, Chief Development Officer Pranay Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Vinod Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. B.S. Sodhi, City Magistrate Mr. Suresh Kumar Soni, officers of Special District Task Force and officers of Health Department were present.
