    Cleanliness Should Be A Habit: Mayor

    Saharanpur: 'Savchhta Rally' was taken out in ward 22 under the 12-point cleanliness campaign of the government. Mayor Sanjeev Walia while addressing the rally said, "Every citizen of the city has to adopt cleanliness in such a way that they become a part of our habit. Saharanpur can be made clean and beautiful with everyone's cooperation."

    Under the 60-day 12-point cleanliness campaign of the State Government, a cleanliness rally was taken out by the Municipal Corporation with the help of ITC Mission Sunhara Kall from Satsang Bhawan located at Gaushala Road in Ward 22.  Mayor Sanjeev Walia inaugurated the rally.  Municipal Commissioner Gyanendra Singh and City Health Officer Dr. Kunal Jain also participated in the rally.    

     Mayor Sanjeev Walia said, "Every citizen of the city has to understand that the city is his own and to keep it clean, cleanliness has to be adopted in such a way that it becomes our habit." Municipal Commissioner Gyanendra Singh said that a large number of garbage dumps have been removed from the roads of Saharanpur, now the garbage which is visible on the roads is the result of negligence of the people.  If people do not put garbage on the roads, collect it in dustbins and give it to the corporation employees, then Saharanpur can come number one in cleanliness.

     In the rally, the students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Jain Inter College, Primary School, Matagarh, Asha, Anganwadi, ITC Mission, Sunhara Kal Umang and volunteers of Force, Councilor Bhura Singh Prajapati, Councilor Nandkishore Sharma, Councilor Representative Nitin Singhal, Indrasain, Mitrasen Chauhan  Apart from Deepak Kumar Jain, Rajkumar, Rakesh Gujral, Regional Sanitation Inspector and Safai Nayak etc. were present.  

    The rally started from Satsang Bhawan, Pul Khumran, Rameshwar Mandir Road, Anandpuri, Gaushala Road, Bartala Yadgar, Shyampuri, Pran Puri, Gandhi Nagar, Municipal Colony, Matagarh and ended at Bhishmanagar Basti.  All the children involved in the rally were shouting slogans like 'Mera kooda meri jimmedari' and 'Ab humne ye thana hai, Saharanpur swachh banana hai' etc.
