     Ground Survey Done To Make Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Catch the Rain successful.

     Saharanpur: To make Jal Shakti Abhiyan and 'Catch the Rain' successful,Vijay Kumar, Chief Development Officer, visited the border area of ​​the city.The entire drainage system located in the district of Krishna river originating from the waste water sources in and around the lake, which is up to the Shamli border, was visited for about 100 km chainage.  

    During the visit, it was found that the Krishna river, which started as a drain within the urban boundary area, is gradually covering its distance, becoming wide, deep and full of water.  At the places of the river falling within the limits of Rampur Maniharan Development Block, it was found that due to aquatic plants, ecosystems adapted to the river have developed.  With awareness, the nature of this river can be saved.

     Vijay Kumar visited  Mankamau, Kakrala Chhidwana, Nanheda Gurjar, Rampur Maniharan Khaka Hedi, Jagrauli, Saihpur, Gudamba Thaska etc. To make the ground survey done, suitable MNREGA Assistant Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Block Development Officer, Village Secretary and Technical Assistant directed to be present during the survey of the river.  

    Considering the nature of the river, it was found that a permanent system should be developed for water conservation and purification by silt cleaning, water purification and vegetative method in the flow system of a river.  For this, according to the advice of the MNREGA Finance Commission and experts, by preparing a coordinated action plan, concrete steps were taken in the direction of rejuvenation of the Krishna river as per the intention of the government.
