Saharanpur. Dr Virendra Ajam has been selected in four-member National Jury of the Ministry of Culture for the decision on the writing compitition of 'Akhil Bhartiya lori Or Deshbhakti Geet', organized under the series of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Apart from him, the jury includes eminent satirist Subhash Chander, Indore's eminent litterateur Rakesh Sharma and Rajasthan's litterateur Madhav Nagda.
Dr. Virendra Azam has also been included in the jury of these four members. Virendra Azam has been writing in many genres of Hindi literature like Haiku, Poetry, Children's Poetry, Review, Criticism, Satire, Short story, and Story etc. His short stories are also being included in the BCA syllabus at Mangaluru University in Karnataka and taught to the students. .Ashokan D, Section Officer of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (AKAM) in the Ministry of Culture has given this information to him in a letter sent by mail.
Even before this, Dr. Virendra Azam has been in the selection committee of anchors of various programs in Hindi by Akashvani Najibabad and was rewarded and honored for literature and journalism in the year 1981 by the then Vice President M Hidayatullah and in 2006 by the then Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. in the field of literature, Dr. Virendra Azam has received 'Sampadak Samman' in 2017, 'Alochak K C Gupt Smriti Samman' in 2019 and 'Srijan Samman' of Samanavaya by the Delhi Library Board, run by the Ministry of Human Resources. As a litterateur, the state government had also nominated him as the cleanliness ambassador of Saharanpur.
