Fire department runs campaign against illegal firecracker factories
Saharanpur: In view of the upcoming festivals, the fire department is on alert regarding the manufacturing and storage of firecrackers. The department has geared up to avoid any untoward incident in firecracker factories. According to Chief Fire Officer Pratap Singh, a campaign is being run to investigate firecracker factories in the district, in which strict action is being taken against the owners and operators of firecracker factories found guilty.
Let us tell you that a few days ago, the fire department is in action mode after the fire that broke out in the firecracker factory located in Chhajpura village of Gagalheri, in which one worker died and one went missing. Chief Fire Officer Pratap Singh told that action is being taken to check the licenses of all the firecracker factories running in the district. To avoid any untoward incident in the firecracker factory, strict warnings are being given to the operators. Electrical connections have been disconnected from the firecracker manufacturing and storage, that is, firecracker manufacturing and storage can be done in the firecracker factory only during the day.
He said, "Fire Department had requested the District Officer to hold a meeting with the license holders of the firecracker factory, accepting which, the date of September 16 has been fixed in which the license holders of the firecracker factory will be given information related to firecracker manufacturing and storage.There are about 80 license holders in the district who have been called for the meeting."
