     Animal Husbandry Department Conducts Training for Veterinary Staff

    Saharanpur: The Animal Husbandry Department organized a one-day training program at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium under its Training and Extension Scheme. The program was attended by Deputy Chief Veterinary Officers, Veterinary Officers, Animal Friends and Paravets from across the district.

    Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. M.P. Singh briefed participants about various departmental schemes and their effective implementation. Nodal Officer Dr. K.K. Nagar, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer (Sadar), outlined the objectives and structure of the training program.

    During the session, Master Trainer Dr. K.K. Nagar and Veterinary Officer Dr. Alok Kumar Sehrawat from Chilkana provided detailed information about livestock development schemes including goat farming, poultry farming, sheep farming and pig farming. They also explained initiatives such as the Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, the Chief Minister Indigenous Cow Conservation Scheme and the Chief Minister Progressive Livestock Farmer Incentive Scheme. Participants were also guided on proper animal care, nutrition and disease prevention.

    Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Subodh Kumar Goyal spoke about vaccination programs for livestock, while Veterinary Officer Dr. Gaurav Tiwari from Sarsawa explained the importance and process of artificial insemination. Officials said that similar one-day training sessions will soon be organized for livestock farmers at veterinary hospitals in each development block of the district
