RLD Pays Tribute to Kanshi Ram on Birth Anniversary
Saharanpur: Leaders and workers of the Rashtriya Lok Dal paid floral tributes to Bahujan leader Kanshi Ram on his birth anniversary at a programme held at the party’s metropolitan office on Court Road. Party members remembered his contribution to social justice and resolved to follow his ideals and principles.
The event, organised as a tribute meeting and workers’ conference, was attended by several party leaders and workers. During the programme, Rekha Gupta, impressed by the party’s policies, joined the party along with a large number of women supporters.
Chief guest and national secretary Prabuddh Kumar said that under the leadership of party national president Jayant Chaudhary, the organisation is progressing steadily. He said the party is working continuously to strengthen farmers, labourers and other sections of society and to ensure that their rights are protected.
He appreciated the working style of city president Bhushan Chauhan and called upon party workers to take inspiration from him and contribute actively to strengthening the organisation. He also urged workers to start preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and work with dedication to secure maximum seats for the party.
Prabuddh Kumar said the struggles and ideals of B. R. Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram should inspire people to raise awareness among Dalits, backward classes, minorities and other marginalised communities. He emphasised the need for unity and organised efforts to bring social change.
State general secretaries O.D. Tyagi and Chaudhary Dheer Singh, along with district president Shahjahan Khan and Baburam Prajapati, said that the Rashtriya Lok Dal has always worked to give respect and representation to backward classes, Dalits and minorities. They urged workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Presiding over the programme, city president Bhushan Chauhan thanked the guests and party workers for their support. He said the enthusiasm shown by workers would motivate the organisation to work harder and called upon members to set a clear goal of victory in the 2027 Assembly elections.During the programme, several women joined the party under the leadership of Rekha and Rebecca. Party leaders welcomed them by presenting garlands.
