Heavy fine to be imposed on pet owner without license

Saharanpur: The Municipal Corporation is going to run a door to door campaign from Thursday to identify people who keep dogs, cats and rabbits. Veterinary Welfare Officer Dr. Sandeep Mishra informed, "It is mandatory to register pet dogs, cats and rabbits etc. in the Municipal Corporation. If anybody find walking their pets in the morning or evenings without license, can be fined heavily. In case of not paying the fine, the dog, cat and rabbit will be confiscated."

" Pet owner can register Pet dog by paying the prescribed fee of Rs. 500 and cat and rabbit by paying Rs. 200. The pet owner will have to submit a photocopy of his/her Aadhar card and a photocopy of the animal's anti-rabies vaccination certificate." he added.
